VISA Payments Forum 2024 was a 3-4 day event at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. Primarily a B2B event, the design for an expected 500 visitors included a ‘marketplace’ style solutions showcase, a main plenary stage session, and more intimate breakout sessions.
My involvement was from start to finish, beginning at the RFP pitch through to continued client reviews after & culminating in the eventual on-site delivery of the Payments Forum event. A huge task centered on ideating and developing strategies that made a business-focused event experiential and yet highly efficient.
My technical involvement as a 3D designer included…
- Schematic drawings of floor plans and structures for fabricators and production to cost (Vectorworks)
- Digital modeling of existing Moscone Convention Center West as a base for spatial designs (Rhino)
- Digital modeling and visualization of 3D structures for all design interventions (Rhino + Unreal Engine)
The enormity of the project and the desire for a unified creative approach meant multiple stakeholders and actors were performing all in tandem.
Real-Time Visuals done in Unreal Engine 5.3(Lumen & PathTracer) were used for both the RFP submission, internal reviews & client presentations.
